Before you reach out
I primarily work with small to medium-sized nonprofits with annual budgets between $50,000 and $3 million. My sweet spot is organizations with 1-10 staff members who are doing incredible work but struggling with the operational and fundraising systems needed to grow sustainably. That said, I'm always happy to chat and see if we're a fit.
Absolutely! I work with organizations across the country through virtual meetings. For local Portland area clients, I'm happy to meet in person when it's useful. Most of my consulting work happens over Zoom, and honestly, it works great. I've found that focused virtual sessions are often more productive than in-person meetings.
It really depends on what you need. Some clients want a focused 2-3 month engagement to build specific systems (like a year-round fundraising calendar). Others prefer ongoing monthly coaching. For speaking and workshops, it's typically a single event with prep time. During our discovery call, we'll figure out what makes sense for your situation and budget.
I don't publish rates because every engagement is different, and I work hard to find solutions that fit your budget. I know nonprofits don't have unlimited resources - I run one, remember? What I can promise is transparency: after our discovery call, you'll get a clear proposal with no hidden costs. I also offer payment plans for larger projects.
Then I'll tell you honestly and try to point you toward someone who might be better suited to help. I'd rather have a great conversation that doesn't lead to work than take on a project where I can't deliver real value. The discovery call is as much for you to evaluate me as it is for me to understand your needs.
