About

Hey there! I’m Andrew, and I’m passionate about the intersection of leadership, justice, and marketing.

I live just outside of Portland, Oregon, with roots in the Inland Empire of Southern California.

I currently serve Pacific Youth Choir as its Executive Director, guiding our growth and operations as we continue to build upon our regional and national reputation. In addition to leading a nonprofit, I consult for others and mentor future leaders through teaching undergraduate students at the University of Portland. If you want the deep dive into my CV, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn 🙂

Prior to my current roles, I worked at CauseMic as a Senior Account Strategist, supporting nonprofits and social impact startups with growth strategy, annual and campaign fundraising, technology, and marketing.

Integral to all my work is keeping justice and equity at the forefront of what I do. As a gay, Type 1 Diabetic, adoptee, and Latino, I recognize that each aspect of our identity and experiences shapes who we are, and genuine care and curiosity about one another leads to compassion and stronger outcomes in all things.

Fun facts:

  • I’ve never tried sushi. It terrifies me.

  • At one point I had the entirety of NOW Vol. 5 memorized (including Fantasy by Ludacris… this was the extent of my teenage rebellion).

  • I firmly believe Fast and the Furious is the greatest film series of our generation.

  • I drink my coffee black.

  • I’ve actively watched Big Brother from four countries simultaneously for years.
